The Magical Fruit

My father's name was Bill Bowles, and he grew up during the Great Depression in Blaine, Washington. In honor of his memory, here are two of his favorite inane jokes:

Eat every bean and pea on your plate.

Beans, beans, the magical fruit--
The more you eat the more you toot,
The more you toot the better you feel,
So let's have beans for every meal!
